Regular and one-off mowing, edging and garden maintenance across St Albans VIC 3021 — from a local crew based ten minutes up the road in Delahey.
We're based in Delahey, about five kilometres from St Albans — close enough that we're through the area most weeks, and close enough that a one-off tidy-up is still worth our time. There's no call centre and no franchise fee built into your quote. You deal with the same people who turn up and do the work.
St Albans sits in the City of Brimbank, and it's a suburb of two halves as far as lawns go. The older streets around the station have generous post-war blocks with big open backyards and wide nature strips. The newer townhouse and unit developments have small, awkward courtyard lawns with tight side access. Those two jobs need different gear, and we bring both.
We also do a steady stream of rental turnovers for property managers, so if you're an agent needing a yard brought back under control between tenants, that's routine work for us.
Fortnightly or monthly through the growing season, stretched out over winter. Front, back, nature strip, edges done properly, clippings taken away.
Overgrown yard, house going on the market, or an inspection coming up. We'll cut it back, clear the rubbish and leave it presentable.
Hedge and shrub trimming, tree lopping, branches cleared off rooflines and gutters, stump grinding.
Gutter cleaning, rubbish removal, artificial grass, and tired lawns dug up and re-turfed.
The nature strip is yours to mow. Like most Melbourne councils, Brimbank expects the resident to keep the nature strip in front of the property cut. We do it as part of the regular visit rather than charging it as an extra — it's a few minutes' work while we're already there.
Know which grass you've got. Most lawns across Melbourne's west are warm-season types — buffalo, kikuyu or couch. They race away from about October to March and want cutting every two to three weeks, then go semi-dormant and barely move over July and August. That's why we'd rather put you on a schedule that changes with the season than charge you for a winter cut the lawn doesn't need.
Don't scalp it in summer. Cutting too low in January is the fastest way to brown off a buffalo lawn and let clover and bindii in. We keep the height up through the hot months so the lawn shades its own roots.
Clippings. We can leave them bagged for your green-waste bin or take them away with us — your call, just tell us when you book.
